The task board and its statuses
What Queued, In Progress, Waiting, Review, Done and Backlog mean on your TaskQ board.
TaskQ is your board of cards. Every piece of work your Right Hand and your agents do is a card, and a card's status tells you where it is.
The statuses
- Queued: ready to go. An agent will pick it up.
- In Progress: an agent is working on it now. The activity feed on the card shows the steps as they finish.
- Waiting: it needs something, usually a decision or a reply from you or someone else. The card says what it is waiting for.
- Review: the agent thinks it is finished (or needs you) and the work is being checked first. Finished work goes through Review before it counts as done, so you see checked results.
- Done: finished, with a plain-English result on the card.
Other statuses you may see: Watching (waiting on an outside event, like a deploy), Cancelled and Failed.
What is Backlog?
Backlog is for work you are deliberately saving for later: an idea, or a plan you made but are not ready to start. Backlog cards are not picked up and sit in their own Backlog view, not on the main board.
Work your Right Hand files from a conversation goes to Queued, not Backlog, unless you or the Right Hand chose Backlog on purpose. When a card is created in Backlog, the reason is written in its log.
If a card is in Backlog and you want it worked, move it to Queued.
