Why emails, posts and sends wait for your approval

Your Right Hand only acts when you ask, and anything that goes out to other people is held until you approve it.

Your Right Hand works on your behalf, so it is careful about anything that reaches other people or changes something outside Dynamiq.

The two rules

  1. It only acts when you asked. It will not send, post, book, file or change something unless you asked for that in your current message, or said yes when it proposed exactly that action. A request you made last week is not a standing instruction.
  2. Things that go out wait for you. Emails, Slack posts, text messages, calendar invites and sends to clients are held until you approve. A draft is just a draft. Nothing leaves until you say so.

Reading, searching and looking things up don't need approval. Neither do your own notes and settings.

How to approve

  • Tap Approve on the Approvals screen on your phone or desktop. Tap Reject to throw it away.
  • Or say it. A clear yes in chat or by voice, such as "send it", "yes, go ahead" or "send both", releases the held item you were just shown. Dynamiq reads your own message to check it, not the assistant's, and when in doubt it releases nothing.

Words that hold back or change things, like "wait", "not yet", "send it after lunch" or "send it but change the link", do not approve. A bare "yes" only counts if your Right Hand just showed you the thing to send. A held item can be approved by words for about two hours after you were shown it. After that, use the Approvals screen.

Why this matters

An email sent in your name, a post on a client's channel or a payment can't be unsent. Holding them for your tap means a mis-heard voice command or a wrong guess never reaches anyone.

If you have phone notifications on, you get a ping when something is waiting for you.
